UNEP Geneva 15 year GEN anniversary
ecoglobe Green Futures Press Release
ecoglobe was founded 1997 in New Zealand with the aim to further the understanding of sustainability. Hands-on, interactive displays would demonstrate that everything is linked - and limited - on this globe, in an ecoglobe construction.
At that time we failed to get support of private and public authorities.

We gradually came to understand that change is impossible, and unnecessary. Because the earth is flat. Because resources are endless. Because all challenges can be met by Hope, Optimism and Technology - HOT.
At the occasion of the 15 years anniversary of the Geneva HOT beacon we have edited a brief Press Release to celebrate the invaluable achievements of the HOT community.

Green Futures Presentations and No-Questions/No-Answers Session

followed by a reception offered by the Swiss Confederation

The Geneva Environment Network Secretariat would like to bring to your kind attention the event which will take place at the International Environment House II (7-9 chemin de Balexert) on Tuesday 20 January, at 11 am.
You are cordially invited to attend a high-level dialogue to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Geneva Environment Network (GEN).
Hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Environment, GEN – – has been, for the last fifteen years, the Geneva hub for a myriad of actors to meet and debate pressing environmental challenges.
With the objective of celebrating a very diverse network, which offers interactive debates with key actors of the ‘International Geneva’, we are organizing a lively panel discussion with personalities from governments, the United Nations family, the private sector, NGOs, universities and foundations on how key players imagine the world will be in 15 years’ time; What needs to be done for your vision to come true? Panelists will provide visionary speeches on the state of the planet, how to best transition to a more sustainable world, and discuss the role of Geneva as global hub for environmental governance, contributing to the Post-2015 Agenda.
Welcome remarks

Since our resources are running out, we replaced wordy comments by one image:

 Mr Ash†Tuesday - M Mardi-Gras†Descendres
All growth is suicidal - on our finite and horribly overloaded planet
"brown"-"green"-"blue"-"balanced"-"different"-"inclusive"-"sustainable" - etc.
